The curriculum forms the backbone of our community, the structures and skills we must teach and develop in our children to ensure that they have the knowledge, understanding and application to lead them forward.
At Queen’s Park Primary School we aim to teach the National Curriculum with rigour and a dynamic sense of purpose.
The School expects every child to work to the highest possible standard in order to fulfil their potential. The children are given targets and are expected to set their own targets for personal development.
The School is committed to achieving the highest possible standards, and whilst the staff aim to commit to that they also expect the parents and children to do the same.
The National Curriculum is split into 2 sections - each containing a variety of subjects:
The Core Subjects English Numeracy Science ICT - (Computing)
The Foundation Subjects Art Design Technology Geography History Music Physical Education Religious Education PSCHE – Personal, Social, Citizenship and Health Education
